After graduation, my friend/college roommate Emily and I decided to treat ourselves to a trip to Ireland. We went in November during the off-season, and it was one of the best weeks of our lives. It was also our first time either of us had been to Europe. In preparation, I taught Emily how to drive stick-shift, and in no time, we were tottering through the narrow streets of Ireland (on the left side of the road!). We hiked cliffs, toured towns, tried the bread pudding (both black and white) and spent a full day with new friends at a pub in the countryside. We didn't want to come home.
